World oil price today
World oil prices today increased sharply. At the end of the weekend trading session, WTI crude oil was at 61.50 USD/barrel, up 1.43 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.38%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 60.07 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 60.20 USD/barrel.

Thus, world oil prices at the end of the weekend session increased sharply. According to analysts, oil prices were supported by a statement from US Energy Secretary Chris Wright saying that the Trump administration is considering blocking Iran's oil exports as part of a plan to put pressure on the country's nuclear program. Strict implementation of sanctions could further tighten global crude oil supply.
Meanwhile, tariff tensions between the US and China continue to escalate. On April 11, China announced that it would increase the tax rate on imported goods from the US to 125%, starting from April 12 - an increase of 41% compared to the previously announced level. The move comes just a day after the US announced a 145% hike in tariffs on Chinese goods.
The director of the United Nations Trade Union warned that the impact of global tariff tensions could be a "disaster" for developing countries, especially when energy costs increase, directly affecting production and consumption activities.
