In this operating period, on April 9, 2026, the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance decided to apply new tax rates on environmental protection tax, value-added tax, special consumption tax on gasoline and oil according to Decision No. 482/QD-TTg dated March 26, 2026 of the Prime Minister, spending on using the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund according to Decision No. 768/QD-BCT dated April 9, 2026 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on applying measures to use the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund, implementing domestic gasoline and oil price management to ensure accurate reflection of the trend of fluctuations in world gasoline and oil prices; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 bio-gasoline and RON95 unleaded gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels; ensure harmony of interests between market participants.
Establishment of the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund (temporary advance source from the state budget)
- Biofuel: 800 VND/liter;
- Unleaded gasoline: 800 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil: 1,000 VND/liter;
- Mazut oil: 800 VND/kg.
After implementing the provision and use of the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund for gasoline and oil items as above, the selling prices of popular consumer gasoline and oil items on the market are as follows:
- E5RON92 gasoline: not higher than 22,344 VND/liter (down 2,393 VND/liter compared to the current maximum selling price), lower than RON95-III gasoline by 1,199 VND/liter;
- RON95-III gasoline: not higher than 23,543 VND/liter (down 2,993 VND/liter compared to the current maximum selling price);
- Diesel oil 0.05S: not higher than 32,969 VND/liter (down 9,872 VND/liter compared to the current maximum selling price);
- Masut oil 180CST 3.5S: not higher than 22, 613 VND/kg (down 1,658 VND/kg compared to the current maximum selling price).
