Sweet fruits from agricultural exports
2024 is considered a successful year for the Industry and Trade sector of Dak Lak province when it continuously receives good news in agricultural export activities.
Recently, the People's Committee of Ea H'leo district (Dak Lak) held a signing ceremony for the official export contract of Ea H'leo macadamia nuts to the Korean market. This is a sweet handshake between the Ea H'leo Macadamia Agricultural Production, Trade and Service Cooperative, Vietnox Agri Co., Ltd. and IDEA BUCKET Joint Stock Company Korea.
This cooperation has opened up development opportunities for macadamia trees in Ea H’leo district in particular and Dak Lak in general. The whole province has more than 4,500 hectares of macadamia trees, with an output of more than 1,500 tons/year. Ea H’leo district alone has successfully converted 1,200 hectares of macadamia trees. The estimated yield is 6 tons/ha, with an estimated output of more than 1,000 tons.
Previously, in early December 2024, a 20-foot container containing 18,000 packages of finished roasted and ground coffee under the Miss Ede brand was also exported directly to the US market. This is a complete coffee product, packaged in Vietnam, not raw coffee or processed labels.
This event marks a major turning point for Vietnamese coffee businesses and industry in deep processing, raising the level of Vietnamese brands in the international market. Thereby, contributing to reducing the export rate of raw coffee - a difficult problem for the industry for many years, although Vietnam ranks second in the world in coffee exports.
Regarding banana products, recently, Banana Brothers Farm Joint Stock Company, in M'Ddak district (Dak Lak), held a ceremony to officially export the first batch of 20 tons of bananas to the Mongolian market.
Previously, this enterprise opened the spring of 2024 with 3 containers of bananas (equivalent to 6 tons) officially exported at the beginning of the new year according to orders from partners in China and Korea...
Dak Lak strengthens trade promotion
Ms. Le Thi My Hanh - General Director of Banana Brothers Farm Joint Stock Company - said that the company has over 100 hectares of bananas, with an average annual output of 10,000 tons. Since the beginning of the year, the company has exported about 4 million USD. The markets that the company exports to are China, Mongolia, South Korea and will move towards the Japanese market.
Ms. Le Thi My Hanh added that exporting fruits abroad through official channels is very difficult. Enterprises must meet requirements for plant quarantine and plant protection. Each country has different requirements, so enterprises must strictly follow the production process to ensure the best quality.
On the business side, Ms. Hanh always puts product quality first, strictly following the requirements of partners, thereby creating prestige and product brand.
In addition to the efforts of enterprises, the facilitation of cooperation and promotion by the government, especially the industry and trade sector in international promotion. For example, the first shipment of Banana Brothers Farm Joint Stock Company to the Mongolian market is the result of the Program connecting Dak Lak enterprises and Mongolian enterprises, and at the same time concretizing the content of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and the Orkhon Provincial Government (Mongolia).
Or the success of a 20-foot container containing 18,000 packages of Miss Ede branded roasted ground coffee to the US market is also the result of Vietnam Sourcing Fair - a national trade promotion event with support from the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province.
