On the afternoon of January 3, the 18th term People's Council of Nghe An province held its 26th session to decide on a number of contents related to personnel work under its authority.
At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council conducted the election process for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term.
As a result, Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - was elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term with 100% of delegates in favor.
The new Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee is 50 years old, from Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province; has a master's degree, majoring in Science and Technology Management.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh has held many positions in the locality such as Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Transport, Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, on the morning of January 3, 2024, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work. On behalf of the Central Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Head of Department I, Central Organizing Committee - announced Decision No. 1789-QDNS/TW, dated December 31, 2024 of the Central Party Secretariat on approving Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
