The full moon of December has special meaning in the spiritual life of Vietnamese people, is an important milestone closing a lunar year. This is not only an occasion for families to sincerely remember their ancestors and express gratitude to the gods, but also a time to send wishes for a new year of peace and prosperity. Therefore, the preparation of the full moon offering tray is always focused on by families in the most meticulous and neat way.
Recorded by reporters this morning, February 1st (ie, the full moon day of the twelfth lunar month), the shopping atmosphere at Hang Be market - which is known as the "rich market" of the Capital - became extremely bustling. From early morning, crowds flocked here.

Because the full moon day coincides with the weekend, Ms. Dang Thuy Linh (Tuong Mai ward, Hanoi) went to Hang Be market early to buy offerings. According to Ms. Linh, the prices of savory goods and fruits serving incense offerings on this day are still kept stable compared to normal days.
Today I bought roasted birds, soup, and stir-fried dishes. Because the store is famous, it is quite crowded with customers, I have to wait a bit. However, the prices are still stable compared to normal days, so I am very happy," Ms. Linh shared.
According to surveys, items serving worship ceremonies such as boiled chicken, gac sticky rice and fresh flowers are the most "selling" products.
Ready-boiled chicken here is famous for being delicious and beautifully presented. At chicken stores, employees have to work continuously to serve a large number of customers. Not only selling directly, stores also continuously receive delivery orders, and shippers come in and out bustlingly.
According to Ms. Hoang Dung - a small trader at Hang Be market, because it is the full moon day, the number of customers is much larger than usual, the family has to wake up at 4 am to prepare goods to sell to customers. The price of boiled chickens with roses, roasted birds and other incense offerings is still kept stable as usual. Accordingly, boiled chickens with roses cost about 500,000 VND/chicken; roasted birds cost about 130,000 VND/chicken; sticky rice costs 30,000-50,000 VND/plate.

Besides boiled chickens, the types of fruits for full moon offerings are also very diverse, serving the needs of people to buy offerings.
According to Ms. Dang Huyen - a small trader selling fruits at Hang Be market, during the Tet holiday, the price of imported fruits has increased slightly, but the quality of fruits has also increased.
To serve the needs of people during Tet, my store chooses beautiful and quality fruits to serve people playing Tet. Although import prices have increased, the store still tries to maintain stable prices. Currently, Tet grapefruit branches are priced at 100,000 VND/fruit; Canh oranges are priced at about 90,000 VND/kg," Ms. Dang Huyen shared.

It is expected that from now until the end of the year, the number of visitors to Hang Be market will continue to increase as people begin to prepare for major ceremonies such as Ong Cong Ong Tao day and Tet holiday.
