With less than a month to go until Lunar New Year 2025, the traditional flower market in Thai Nguyen City has put on a colorful coat.
The stalls are filled with flowers such as apricot, chrysanthemum and many unique ornamental plants. People flock here not only to shop but also to enjoy the flowers and immerse themselves in the bustling atmosphere of the last days of the year.
On January 8, according to the reporter, the traditional flower market was bustling from early morning. Along both sides of the road, a series of flower stalls were elaborately arranged with all kinds of flowers and ornamental plants.
Pots of bright yellow kumquat trees, blooming apricot blossoms, chrysanthemums, orchids, gerberas... create a brilliant spring picture.
At the stalls, the vendors’ calls and the laughter of customers created a lively and bustling atmosphere. Many young people took the opportunity to take photos next to the beautiful flowers, capturing the spring moments.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bay (from Long An) has just transported more than 400 yellow apricot trees to Thai Nguyen City flower market to sell during Tet. He said that this is the 5th year he has brought apricot flowers to the Northern market.
Mr. Bay shared that people's tastes today are very fond of apricot blossoms, especially 5-petal apricot trees because of their reasonable price and the color that symbolizes wealth and luck.
"Transporting more than 1,000km from the south to here is not easy. Once there, we have to take care of the flowers so they don't bloom early and bloom right on Tet.
Each apricot tree here costs from 400,000 to 1,500,000 VND. The price difference compared to previous years is not much. The apricot blossom market is still quite good this time, I think from now until Tet it will be even more exciting," said Mr. Bay.
Ms. Nguyen Yen Nhi (Thai Nguyen City) - a customer - said that every year during Tet, she goes to the traditional flower market to choose ornamental plants to decorate her house.
"When I go to the market, I not only choose to buy flowers and ornamental plants to display, but also walk around the flower market and enjoy the scenery to feel the spring atmosphere. This year, the prices of flowers and ornamental plants are not expensive, so I have more freedom to choose" - Ms. Nhi shared.
The largest traditional flower market in Thai Nguyen City is a familiar destination for locals. This is a space filled with spring colors, bringing a bustling atmosphere as Tet approaches.
