In Can Tho City, according to reporters' records, the Tet shopping market on the 27th, 28th and from the morning of December 29th of the lunar calendar is bustling and crowded. Tet flower and fruit and fresh food items continue to "occupy the wave".
Notably, this year, many people have a hobby of buying fruits of small to medium size to display for Tet. The general psychology of people is to prefer convenience, affordableness and cute appearance.

Like the case of Ms. Dang Thi Ly (Long Tuyen ward) who also came to Xuan Khanh market to buy fruit on the morning of the 29th of Tet. Ms. Ly said that a few days ago, going around the market to visit, she was "straining her stomach" to buy a few small fruits because they are easy to display in the house.
Offering five fruits on the altar as well as displaying Tet at the guest table has long been a tradition of people in the Mekong Delta and my family. Basically, it is still bridge - coconut - enough - mango - sung, some years there are extra fruits, kumquats, tangerines,... every year they spend 100,000 - 200,000 VND separately to buy the above fruits. This year I want to buy some small sizes, just the size of a fist to be compact, these fruits look also lovely.

In general, at Tan An, Xuan Khanh, Binh Thuy markets..., fruits such as custard apple, coconut, papaya, mango, figs... are continuously being added by small traders to serve customer needs. Most of these fruits are reasonably priced.
Soursop is priced from 20,000 VND/fruit; coconut is priced in the range of 10,000 - 20,000 VND/fruit, papaya from 15,000 VND/fruit; mango is priced at 20,000 VND/fruit...
Besides, other types of fruits such as mini pineapple from 25,000 VND/fruit, green bananas (large type) from 10,000 VND/fruit. Hoa Loc cat mango, dragon fruit, star apple... are higher than usual days.

Many small traders said that it is predicted that the purchasing power of fruits for the five-fruit tray will increase sharply and last until noon on the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month. Because this is the time when most people have to complete the work of arranging, decorating and tidying up their houses to prepare for New Year's Eve.
At about 12 pm, I also take a break to go home for Tet, this year business is also okay, there are profits but not much, I also keep prices stable for customers because I know everyone's economy is difficult. Small traders encourage each other that being happy is enough" - Ms. Trang (small trader selling fruits and flowers for Tet display at Xuan Khanh Market) said.
