On February 16 (29th Lunar New Year), the traffic volume in Vinh City (old) area, Nghe An province increased sharply, many roads were congested for a long time, and the traffic police force had to continuously divert and regulate traffic.
On the morning of February 16, recorded at the Vinh market intersection area, cars were congested in all directions, stretching for kilometers. Roads leading to the commercial center and the market area were all locally overloaded.

Inside the roads around Vinh market, cars are almost unable to move, motorbikes move step by step. Even pedestrians also encounter many difficulties due to the density of vehicles and people flocking to shop too crowded.
Faced with the above situation, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 mobilized 100% of personnel, coordinated with ward police to organize checkpoints at key intersections, remote diversion, and guide vehicles to move along alternative routes. Radios are used continuously to update the situation and coordinate forces between hotspots.

In congested areas such as Vinh market intersection, Hai Quan roundabout (old), Kenh Bac bridge, functional forces continuously signaled and reminded people to comply with traffic signals and not to stop and park in violation of regulations.
Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, residing in Thanh Vinh ward, said: "At the end of the year, people gather at Vinh market to shop for Tet very crowded, all roads are crowded. This year I feel more crowded than last year, goods are also very many, diverse in types. The shopping atmosphere is bustling, although moving is difficult, everyone is happy.
According to records, the increased number of vehicles is mainly due to the demand for buying food, clothing, and household goods on the last day before the Tet holiday. Despite great pressure, the traffic police force still maintains continuous regulation to limit prolonged congestion and ensure safety for people.
By the end of the morning of the same day, traffic on some main routes was basically kept stable, although there was still a crowded situation in the Vinh market area.
