    Lieutenant General of the army Pham Duc Duyen and Major General Nguyen Van Thien extended their term of office until the end of their service age.

    On April 20, 2026, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed decisions on extending the term of office of Political Commissar of Military Region 2 and Deputy Commander of the Border Guard.

    In Decision No. 698/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to extend the term of office to the end of military service age for Lieutenant General Pham Duc Duyen - Political Commissar of Military Region 2. This decision takes effect from May 11, 2026.

    In Decision No. 699/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to extend the term of office to the end of active duty age for Major General Nguyen Van Thien, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard, Ministry of National Defense. This decision takes effect from May 31, 2026.
