This morning (December 19), at Gia Lam airport (Long Bien district, Hanoi), Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 officially opened and lasted 4 days from December 19-22.
The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 takes place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
The opening ceremony program with the theme "Vietnam - Peace - Cooperation - Development" with 2,000 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army performing.
Along with that, the Vietnam Air Force flew to welcome, the Vietnam People's Army Special Forces, and Border Guard dogs performed to welcome the exhibition.
Domestic and international delegates, people from all over the country and friends from around the world will be able to admire the special performances, demonstrating the power of Special Forces and Special Forces martial arts - the synthesis of the nation's unique martial arts and the unique fighting art of our ancestors, while promoting the unique military art of "using the small to defeat the big, using the few to defeat the many".
The exhibition has more than 200 domestic and foreign units and enterprises from more than 30 countries in the ASEAN region, Asia, Europe, and America. Military powers such as the US, China, Russia, India, Israel, France, the UK, Spain, etc. also participate in this exhibition.
The exhibition area has a total area of over 100,000m2 with an indoor display area of 15,000m2 (double that of the 2022 exhibition) and an outdoor area of over 20,000m2.
In particular, the outdoor sightseeing area is arranged in an L-shape including heavy weapons, air defense systems and equipment - air force, army, navy such as tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, information command vehicles, anti-aircraft artillery.
In the indoor tour area, the most notable are the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with types such as reconnaissance UAVs, suicide UAVs, and multi-purpose UAVs.
In particular, visitors will witness 3D mapping projection technology, model tables of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, Ho Chi Minh Campaign, and virtual reality (VR) technology simulating the developments of the stages in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
In this exhibition, Vietnam has the participation and presentation of 69 types of equipment and weapons from 77 units, which are products of the defense industry autonomy such as the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel), factories Z111, Z113, Z131, Z175, member companies of the General Department of Defense Industry, companies under the Ministry of National Defense...
At this year's exhibition, the list of weapons and technical equipment manufactured and produced by the Vietnamese Defense Industry will be superior to the 2022 International Defense Exhibition.
People and tourists can enter the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 for free from 9:00 a.m. on December 21, instead of 1:30 p.m. as originally scheduled.
