On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, on the morning of August 18th, in Hanoi, the Politburo and the Secretariat organized a meeting with Politburo members, Secretariat members of various periods, members of the Party Central Committee of the XIII term who were not re-elected to the XIV term and awarded Orders and Party Badges.

Attending the conference were Politburo members, Secretariat members, Central Committee members, Party and State leaders, leaders of Party agencies at the Central level and the Party Committee directly under the Central Government.
At the Conference, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung reported on the socio-economic situation, Party building work in the first 6 months of 2026, key tasks for the last 6 months of the year and the coming time.
After listening to the report, many opinions were exchanged, enthusiastically contributed, frankly and deeply, warning of dangers and limitations that should not be taken lightly; proposing practical ways to maintain solidarity, build the Party, improve the apparatus, develop the country and care for people's lives. Each opinion crystallizes experience, vision, feelings and responsibility to the Party, people and the future of the country.
According to VNA, speaking at the Conference, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions of former Party and State leaders. In different positions and stages, they have contributed to planning guidelines, protecting revolutionary achievements, opening the way for renovation and integration, creating a foundation for today. The current generation receives not only the foundation, potential, and position, but also the bravery, experience and tasks that must continue to be completed. That is a precious legacy, and at the same time a profound reminder of the honor and responsibility of the succeeding generation.
At the Conference, General Secretary and President To Lam awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order to 5 former members of the Politburo: former President Luong Cuong; former Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; former Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, who have made great and particularly outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
On this occasion, Party and State leaders awarded the First-class Independence Medal; Second-class Independence Medal to former members of the Party Central Committee who have made particularly outstanding achievements in their work process, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
Also at the Conference, General Secretary and President To Lam and Party and State leaders awarded the 60-year Party Badge; 45-year Party Badge; 40-year Party Badge; 35-year Party Badge to leaders and former leaders of the Party and State.
