On December 27, the Executive Committee of the 14th Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025, held the 35th Conference of the Committee to summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee of the Party.
According to Mr. Vo Chi Cong - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee - in recent times, the work of streamlining the payroll associated with restructuring the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees has always been focused on and achieved results, in accordance with the functions and tasks of each organization, agency and unit.
The pilot implementation of the model of holding concurrent positions in a number of agencies and sectors has gradually streamlined the apparatus, reducing the intermediary step between consulting, issuing policies and implementing.
After 7 years of implementing Resolution 18, the provincial level has reduced 16 affiliated organizations, 62 assigned positions, 7 deputy heads of agencies and units, and 22 deputy heads of affiliated units; the district level has reduced 36 assigned positions compared to 2017, and 6 deputy heads of agencies and units.
Through a comprehensive assessment of the implementation process of Resolution No. 18, Soc Trang province has a plan to organize a unified apparatus in the province's political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient.
