On the morning of March 28, the Hanoi City People's Council held the 1st session of the 17th Hanoi City People's Council to consider and decide on contents under its authority.
At the meeting, the Hanoi City People's Council conducted the election of the Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council and Heads of departments of the City People's Council for the 2026 - 2031 term.
With the majority of delegates in favor, the Hanoi People's Council elected Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030 as Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council for the term 2026 - 2031.
Previously, on the afternoon of November 13, 2025, Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council - was elected Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council for the term 2021 - 2026.
On the morning of October 17, 2025, the Hanoi City Party Committee Executive Committee elected Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha as Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha (born in 1971, from Ung Hoa, Hanoi) has a master's degree in finance - banking. She worked for many years at the Hanoi Department of Finance, holding the position of Secretary of Thanh Oai District Party Committee (old) and Standing Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People's Council before being elected Deputy Secretary of Hanoi City Party Committee.
Hanoi City People's Council also unanimously elected the positions of Vice Chairman of the 17th Hanoi City People's Council, including:
1. Mr. Tran The Cuong was elected by the City People's Council to hold the position of Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council of the XVII term.
2. Mr. Pham Qui Tien was elected by the City People's Council to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Council of the XVII term.
3. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Mai was elected by the City People's Council to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Council of the XVII term.
