Journalists must never forget the core values of revolutionary journalism, which are ideals, absolute loyalty to the Party, to the Fatherland and blood ties with the people, putting national and ethnic interests first and foremost.
According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, the article by General Secretary and President To Lam requested: The press must be a place where people come to when needed... Society needs a reliable place to understand the truth correctly. People need to know what has happened, why it happened, who it affects, where the responsibility lies and what solutions are grounded.
The press must propagate more strongly and effectively the guidelines and policies of the Party and State; spread the spirit of innovation and creativity, and encourage all classes of people to actively participate in the cause of national development.
The press must be the leading force in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views.
Wherever distorted and reactionary arguments appear - there is a press that strongly refutes them; wherever there is bad information and distorted ideology - there is a press that speaks the truth and strengthens trust.
Each journalist must have firm political bravery, pure professional ethics, high professional capacity, and proficiency in technology to keep up with the volatile and challenging media environment; must improve policy criticism capacity, lead public opinion, and transform the Party and State's policies into awareness, belief, and action in the whole people and society.

The Party, State and people believe that Vietnamese revolutionary journalism will continue to develop professionally, humanely, and modernly, using its sharp pen to serve the Fatherland and serve the people," the National Assembly Chairwoman said.
