On the afternoon of August 27, in Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province, the Central Propaganda Department organized the Closing Ceremony of the National Finals of the 2026 Excellent Reporter and Propagandist Contest.
Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Trinh Van Quyet - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Le Duc Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province; Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, along with representatives of leaders of Thanh Hoa province and contestants participating in the contest.

The 2026 Excellent Reporter and Propagandist Contest is organized to propagate the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the term 2025 - 2030; contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of oral propaganda work.
The National Final Round is held in Thanh Hoa from August 25 - 27, closing the competition that will be implemented in 8 months, with a peak from February to August 2026.
According to the Organizing Committee, this is one of the professional activities of propaganda work, oral propaganda work and the activities of the team of reporters and propagandists in the term of the 14th Party Congress.
Through the contest, the Organizing Committee aims to improve the quality of propaganda, learning, thoroughly grasping and organizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the term 2025 - 2030.

At the National Final Round, there were 32 contestants from 19 provincial and city Party committees and Party committees directly under the Central Government. Among them were contestants from the Party Committees of Party Central Agencies, the Government Party Committee, the Central Military Commission and the Central Public Security Party Committee.
The candidate structure includes 16 males and 16 females, belonging to many ages and fields of work.
After 3 days of exams, candidates performed the exams, showing knowledge, communication skills and the ability to relate the content of the resolution to practical work.
At the end of the National Final, the Organizing Committee awarded the Special Prize to reporter Trinh Xuan Viet - Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Military Humanities under the Academy of Politics, Ministry of National Defense.
The Organizing Committee also awarded 10 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 11 third prizes to contestants with achievements in the National Finals.
