After nearly 2 days of working with a spirit of urgency, responsibility and efficiency, the Central Committee discussed enthusiastically, frankly and reached high consensus on the contents of the Conference program.
On the afternoon of January 24, 2025, the 13th Party Central Committee Conference held its closing session.
At this Conference, the Central Executive Committee highly agreed with the Summary Report of Resolution 18-NQ/TW and the plan to streamline the organizational apparatus of the political system. The Politburo determined that streamlining the organizational apparatus of the political system to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency is a revolution.
Therefore, the Central Committee requires ministries, departments, branches, units and localities to have very high political determination, synchronously implement measures on the basis of inheriting the results achieved after 7 years of implementing the Resolution, especially the causes and lessons learned by the Central Steering Committee on Summarizing Resolution 18, to promote this revolution to meet the requirements and tasks of the country and the demands of the people in the new era.
Regarding the Project on supplementary socio-economic development, the Central Executive Committee agreed with the Projects on supplementary socio-economic development in 2025 with the target of growth reaching 8% or more and growth in the period of 2026 - 2030 continuously reaching double digits.
These are the goals that we must strive to achieve in order for our country to escape the middle-income trap, become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030, and become a developed country with high income by 2045.
The Central Executive Committee agreed with the report reviewing the direction and administration of the Politburo and Secretariat in 2024. The Central Committee highly appreciated the frankness, responsibility, and openness of the Politburo and Secretariat in organizing review, criticism, and self-criticism.
Also at this Conference, the Central Committee elected 3 additional members to join the Central Inspection Committee; elected to complete the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee and elected 1 additional member to join the Politburo, 1 comrade to join the Secretariat with an almost absolute number of votes of confidence; at the same time, agreed to let 1 comrade stop participating in the Central Executive Committee for violating Party discipline;
The Central Committee agreed with the Politburo's plan to introduce and arrange cadres for agencies after the reorganization and consolidation of the new apparatus. The consolidation of the Central Inspection Commission and the addition of members to the Politburo and Secretariat will contribute to strengthening the Party's leadership, improving the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work, and at the same time preparing a step for the personnel of the upcoming 14th National Congress.
The personnel introduction plan that has been approved by the Central Committee is an important basis for the Politburo to officially introduce the State agencies to elect and approve according to regulations, contributing to ensuring that the new apparatus operates effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements of national development in the coming period.
