On the evening of January 24, information from the leaders of Anh Son district (Nghe An) said that at the factory of Song Lam 2 Cement Joint Stock Company (located in Hamlet 6, Hoi Son commune, Anh Son district), a serious work accident had just occurred.
On the afternoon of the same day, the cement factory conducted a year-end general cleaning. A group of workers entered the factory's furnace to clean when suddenly the tunnel collapsed.
The incident has left many workers injured. “The factory has not yet reported how many people were injured, but at least one worker has died. The police are protecting the scene to investigate the cause of the incident,” said the leader of the Anh Son District People’s Committee.
Upon receiving information about the accident, Anh Son District Police, Nghe An Provincial Police and local authorities immediately arrived at the scene to rescue the victims and investigate the cause of the incident.
