On the afternoon of February 19, the Ben Tre Provincial People's Council held its 17th session - a session to resolve urgent work.
At this session, delegates of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Council passed 15 resolutions, including 5 resolutions related to the merger of departments.
The People's Council of Ben Tre province has passed a Resolution on the reorganization of the Department of Home Affairs of Ben Tre province on the basis of merging the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs with the Department of Home Affairs; a Resolution on the reorganization of the Department of Finance of Ben Tre province on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment with the Department of Finance; a Resolution on the reorganization of the Department of Construction of Ben Tre province on the basis of merging the Department of Transport with the Department of Construction; a Resolution on the reorganization of the Department of Science and Technology of Ben Tre province on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications with the Department of Science and Technology; a Resolution on the establishment of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ben Tre province on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Department of Environment and Environment.
The delegates of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Council also dismissed Mr. Nguyen Van Quoi from the position of Head of the Provincial People's Council's Economic - Budget Committee due to retirement and elected Mr. Pham Thanh Hung to this position.
Speaking at the closing session, Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Tre province - requested that after the session, the Provincial People's Committee urgently implement the resolutions approved by the Provincial People's Council to all sectors and levels. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda and information provision for people to agree and join hands to implement, ensuring high results.
The People's Council of Ben Tre province also requested the Provincial People's Committee to pay attention to and direct all levels, sectors, units and localities to effectively implement the resolutions.
