According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, during these days, at the construction site of Lac Dia freshwater reservoir project (Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province), the working atmosphere is very urgent. Workers are working hard, racing against time to ensure construction progress.
Directing construction workers at the construction site, Mr. Tran Minh Phuong - technical officer of Chan Hung Construction Company Limited, one of the contractors constructing package 01 of the project - said that the workers are working enthusiastically, taking advantage of the opportunity to eat quick meals to meet the schedule, bring the project to the finish line early and hand over as committed to the investor.
"We have mobilized more human resources and construction equipment to speed up and ensure the quality of the project to soon complete the project in accordance with the commitment to the investor," said Mr. Phuong.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thinh - a supervisor at the Lac Dia freshwater reservoir project - said that there are currently more than 100 workers, technical staff and many machines and equipment operating at the construction site. Contractors have rotated teams and teams to implement the construction, ensuring the project's progress.
Mr. Le Minh Truyen - Deputy Director in charge of the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Agricultural Works and Rural Development of Ben Tre province - said that package No. 01 of the project has completed more than 86% of the volume according to the contract value, while package No. 02 has reached 41%.
Mr. Truyen shared that the Lac Dia freshwater reservoir project is expected to be completed in August 2025. Currently, the investor has directed contractors to mobilize more equipment and human resources to speed up the progress to soon complete the project.
The Lac Dia freshwater reservoir project was built in Phu Le commune, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province, invested by the Management Board of the Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Projects of Ben Tre province. The project has a total investment of more than 352 billion VND, with implementation period from 2021-2025. With a capacity of about 1.3 million m3, when completed, Lac Dia Lake is considered the largest artificial freshwater reservoir in the West to date.
