On August 8, the Executive Committee of the Long An Provincial Party Committee (Session XI) held the 19th Conference to discuss and approve the draft report on the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on the direction and tasks of the first quarter, identifying key tasks in the second quarter of 2025.
According to the draft report at the Conference, the growth rate of the gross product (GRDP) of Long An province in the first quarter of 2025 was estimated at 7.20%, this is a positive growth, the highest compared to the same period in the last 3 years, creating a premise for the province to strive to achieve a two -digit growth rate in 2025.
Concluding the conference, Long An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet requested units and localities to focus on implementing more drastically and synchronously solutions to strive to achieve the double-digit economic growth target in 2025 (10 - 11%).
In particular, he noted a number of key tasks such as: Proactively reviewing the provincial planning to have an integrated orientation to ensure appropriate right after the provincial merger; Effectively implement Directive No. 91-CT/TU, February 24, 2025 of the Provincial Standing Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in the State budget revenue in 2025; focus on solving difficulties and problems, creating strong changes in compensation, site clearance and resettlement for households; speeding up the implementation of investment projects, resolutely, strictly handling and defining projects that are slow, wasting land resources, affecting the overall development of the province and annoying public opinion, especially projects that have been supervised by the provincial People's Council and have a resolution proposed to handle; promote allocation and disbursement of public investment plans in 2025; resolutely not to let the capital wait for the project, have capital without disbursing; associated with ensuring the quality of works and projects, not to occur negatively, lost and wasted.
The Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee requested to continue to seriously and effectively implement Program No. 66-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. In particular, each industry, each field, and locality needs to proactively have specific solutions that are consistent with their conditions and tasks.
Proactively complete the project of arranging administrative units at grassroots levels and provincial levels to ensure practical closeness; submit to the provincial People's Council for approval to report to the Government to summarize and submit to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the National Assembly for approval. On that basis, deploying arrangements to ensure strict, timely, not interrupting work, best serving people and businesses. Focusing on leading the preparation of the Party Congress at all levels for the term 2025 - 2030 right after completing the arrangement of administrative units at all levels.
