Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, born on December 29, 1970, hometown in Phong Son commune, Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province, now Phong Thai ward, Hue city.
He has professional qualifications: Civil and Industrial Construction Engineer, Bachelor of Mathematics, Master of Economics; political theory qualification: Senior.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong held the following positions: Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Tra Town, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue Province.
Mr. Phuong has held the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province since April 2016.
In June 2021, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province.
On October 3, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
