In Resolution No. 1801/NQ-UBTVQH15, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, National Assembly delegate of Hai Phong City to transfer his activities from the National Assembly delegation of Hai Phong City to the National Assembly delegation of Ho Chi Minh City. The Resolution takes effect from August 28, 2025.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang, born in 1967, is from Trang Bang town, Tay Ninh province. He has a Master's degree in Public Administration and Mechanical Engineering.
He is a member of the 11th (invalid) and 12th, 13th Party Central Committee; a National Assembly delegate of the 14th and 15th terms.

At the conference, the Politburo's decision was announced to appoint Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee to cease holding positions at the Central Policy and Strategy Committee and related positions to be transferred and assigned to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
Previously, the conference announced the Politburo's decision to allow Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and cease holding the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nen was assigned to be a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Party Congress Documents Subcommittee, and at the same time continued to monitor and direct the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee until the 14th National Party Congress.
