Along with Mr. Dong, two other leaders were also assigned to participate in the Party Committee and government of Truong Vinh ward for the 2020-2025 term. Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia - Member of the City Party Committee, Chief of Office of the Vinh City Party Committee - holds the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tat Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh City - holds the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Vinh Ward.
This is a new ward merged from commune-level administrative units according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee. The direct participation of senior leaders of the city in grassroots Party committees aims to ensure comprehensive, direct and effective leadership in the first phase of the operation of the new apparatus.
In addition, in Thanh Vinh ward - another newly merged ward - Mr. Nguyen Van Lu - Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee - was assigned to be the Party Committee Secretary. The Standing Deputy Secretary is Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh Tan Ward Party Committee; Chairman of the Ward People's Committee is Mr. Nguyen Sy Dieu, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee in charge of construction and site clearance.
According to Vinh City Party Committee, the arrangement of key city-level cadres concurrently holding ward-level positions is a solution to strengthen leadership roles, promptly removing difficulties in the early stages of reorganizing the two-level government.
Previously, according to the Resolution of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council and the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Truong Vinh ward was established on the basis of merging all 6 wards and 1 commune of Vinh city, including: Vinh Tan ward, Truong Thi ward, Hung Dung ward, Ben Thuy ward, Trung Do ward and Hung Hoa commune, Hung Phuc ward. Similarly, Thanh Vinh ward was established on the basis of merging all 5 wards and 1 commune of Vinh city, including: Quang Trung ward, Le Loi ward, Cua Nam ward, Dong Vinh ward, Hung Binh ward and Hung Chinh commune. Headquarters location: Vinh City People's Committee.
