On July 10, 2026, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed and issued Decisions on the appointment to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
In Decision No. 1256/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Doan Trung Kien - Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
In Decision No. 1259/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Pham Quang Hung - Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Information, Ministry of Education and Training to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
New Deputy Minister Doan Trung Kien was born in 1979, native of Ha Nam province (now Ninh Binh province); holds a Doctor of Laws degree, senior in political theory. Before being appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Training, he held the position of Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee. He used to be Rector of Hanoi Law University, Director of the Judicial Academy and held many positions in the Government Office.
New Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hung was born in 1974, native of Ninh Binh province; high-level political theory level.
Mr. Pham Quang Hung studied for a master's degree and a research student at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Before being appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Training, he was Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Information.
He used to be a lecturer at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Director of the Department of Training with Foreign Countries, Director of the Department of International Cooperation (after merging the Department of International Cooperation and the Department of Training with Foreign Countries), Ministry of Education and Training.
The current Minister of Education and Training is Mr. Hoang Minh Son - Member of the Party Central Committee.
