On June 11, a working group of the Ministry of National Defense, chaired by Major General Le Van Dang, Deputy Director of the Department of Combat Affairs, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, inspected the results of military service (QS), national defense (QP) and the work of rearranging local military agencies when organizing two-level governments in the two provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri.
The working group also included Major General Le Hong Nhan, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 4 and Major General Vo Tien Nghi, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Command.
The working group worked with leaders of the Military Commands of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces. At the meeting, Major General Le Van Dang and members of the delegation inspected the results of implementing the tasks of the Military Command and the Government in the first 6 months of the year, and at the same time assessed the implementation of the resolutions and conclusions of the Politburo on the work of arranging and organizing the apparatus of administrative units.
The inspection contents include adjusting combat documents, system of records, documents related to the merger of local military agencies, construction and management of combat works, training grounds, training grounds, and stationing positions of the regional defense command and the Border Guard command.
In particular, issues related to the management and use of defense land and the merger and dissolution of district-level military agencies were also carefully reviewed.
Through the inspection process, the working group acknowledged that the Military Commands of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces have effectively implemented the tasks of the Military Command and the Ministry of National Defense, especially in training, combat readiness and coordination in implementing the policy of streamlining the administrative apparatus of the Politburo. The units have done a good job of grasping the ideological and disciplinary situation, creating consensus in implementing the policy of streamlining the administrative apparatus.
Regarding the rearrangement of local military agencies, the Military Commands of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the directives from the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region 4 Command.
Preparations for the merger of the Military Commands of the two provinces and the dissolution of the District Military Commands have been implemented in accordance with regulations, ensuring strictness, while the work of reviewing and managing national defense land and combat works has also been seriously implemented.
In particular, the agencies have done a good job of coordination, creating high consensus in implementing the policies of the Party and State on administrative reform and streamlining the local military apparatus.
