On the afternoon of June 9, the Military Command of Kien Giang province held a conference to review the emulation and reward work for the first 6 months of 2025.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command will closely lead and direct emulation and reward work. The commendation and reward of the provincial armed forces is carried out publicly and democratically, ensuring the right people, the right work, the right achievements, focusing on collectives and individuals directly performing training tasks, being ready to fight on border lines, seas and islands. Through the reward work, the spirit of officers and soldiers has been promptly encouraged, contributing to promoting the development of the emulation movement.
Over the past 6 months, the Provincial Military Command has strictly maintained combat readiness, monitored the situation, deployed forces and vehicles to be ready to fight, and coordinated to protect important events in the area. Organized training for new soldiers, militia, and reserve forces, closely encouraged and fostered knowledge of national defense and security for nearly 1,600 comrades.
The Provincial Military Command advised the Provincial Military Command to organize a summary ceremony for activities in Phu Loi commune (Giang Thanh district) with a total cost of over 9 billion VND; the 2025 Military-Civilian Tet holiday in Ban Thach commune (Giong Rieng district) with a total cost of over 15 billion VND. The provincial armed forces have completed the task of constructing and handing over 400 houses in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
Concluding the conference, Colonel Huynh Van Khoi - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command emphasized: to complete the emulation targets for the last 6 months of 2025, he requested the Party committees and commanders of agencies and units to focus on linking the emulation movement to the patriotic emulation movement of the locality; strive to promote internal strength, solidarity, creativity, successfully complete the set targets, build a clean and strong Party Committee, a comprehensive and exemplary agency and unit, with high quality of synthesis and fighting readiness, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
In the immediate future, agencies and units will take advantage of the good preparation work for the task of ending the activities of the District Military Command, establishing the Regional Defense Command and arranging and merging the Commune Military Command. Proactively carry out ideological work and policy work well for cadres at all levels. Ensure strictness, compliance with regulations and absolute safety in the recovery, transfer, management of weapons, equipment, documents, materials,unarades, etc.
Quickly stabilize in all aspects, operate the operations of agencies, units and local military and defense work in the new period according to the 2-level local government model.
