Implementing the National Assembly's decision on organizing local government according to the two-level model for the local military sector, the Cao Bang Provincial Military Command is developing a plan to establish new defense areas.
According to the plan, the whole province will be divided into 4 defense areas, each area is in charge of a specific group of districts and has its own headquarters.
Defense Area 1 is in charge of Ha Quang and Hoa An districts, headquartered in Ha Quang.
The defense area 2 is in charge of Bao Lac and Bao Lam districts, headquartered in Bao Lac.
Defense zone 3 is in charge of Nguyen Binh, Thach An districts and Cao Bang city, headquartered in Nguyen Binh.
Defense zone 4 is in charge of Quang Hoa, Ha Lang and Trung Khanh districts, headquartered in Quang Hoa.
The Regional Defense Command Committees will be responsible for receiving, managing and effectively using national defense land, facilities, documents, weapons, technical equipment, etc.
At the same time, continue to advise on the implementation of local military and defense tasks; survey and develop a combat readiness document system in accordance with the payroll and characteristics of each locality according to the instructions from the Military Region and the Ministry of National Defense.
The working group of the Provincial Military Command also requested its affiliated units to reasonably deploy command assignments and effectively manage surplus units after the merger; do a good job of handing over war invalids and martyrs' records to the new unit; strictly preserve assets, warehouses, weapons and equipment, and ensure safety during transportation.
At the same time, units are urgently preparing for the Military Party Congresses at all levels, towards the National Party Congress.
