Reasonable adjustment of electricity prices, medical examination and treatment and education service prices
The Government has just issued Resolution No. 148/NQ-CP of the regular Government meeting in May 2026.
In the Resolution, the Government requests each ministry, agency, locality, corporation, and state-owned enterprise to closely follow the goals, requirements, and scenarios for operating double-digit economic growth in 2026, identifying growth room to focus on promoting and striving to achieve the set goals.
Closely monitor the developments of the international and regional situation, changes in policies of major economies affecting our country; improve the quality of analysis and forecasting, proactively advise and propose appropriate, timely and effective response solutions to the Government and the Prime Minister.
Manage monetary policy proactively, flexibly, promptly, effectively, closely coordinate and synchronize with reasonable, focused, key expansion fiscal policy and other macroeconomic policies to support growth, control inflation, contribute to macroeconomic stability, and ensure major balances of the economy.
Focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, and perfecting mechanisms and policies to develop safely, healthily, transparently, and effectively the capital market, stock market, corporate bonds, and medium and long-term capital mobilization channels.
Effectively manage prices and markets, flexibly use management tools, regulate production, and manage prices according to legal regulations and market mechanisms to ensure supply and demand balance and price stability.
Research and carefully calculate the adjustment of prices of goods and services managed by the State, including electricity prices, medical examination and treatment service prices, and educational services, limiting the cumulative impact on CPI, ensuring inflation control according to the set targets.
Strengthen inspection, examination, and supervision of the implementation of regulations on prices, strictly handle acts of speculation, hoarding goods, manipulation and unreasonable price increases.
Ministries, agencies, and localities, especially ministries, agencies, and localities with disbursement rates below the national average, urgently direct and drastically accelerate and promote disbursement of public investment capital, considering this as a key political task, an important criterion for evaluating the level of task completion of collectives and individuals, including heads.
Focus on site clearance, compensation, support, and appropriate resettlement
The Government requests to focus on site clearance, compensation, support, and effective and appropriate resettlement. Accelerate the progress of construction and projects serving the APEC 2027 Conference, important national projects, key projects of the transport sector: high-speed railway project on the North-South axis, railway line connecting with China and other strategic infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, progress, investment efficiency, and preventing losses, waste, and negativity.
Thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the conclusions of General Secretary and President To Lam on implementing Directive No. 34-CT/TW of the Secretariat on social housing and housing development orientations in the coming time.
Effectively organize the implementation of solutions to ensure sufficient electricity and gasoline supply to serve production, business and consumption of people and businesses, especially during the hot and dry months of 2026, absolutely not to let electricity and gasoline shortages occur in any situation.
Pay attention to the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity, and wastefulness; strictly implement regulations on citizen reception, resolve promptly and in accordance with the law, in accordance with the reality of complaints and denunciations right from the time they arise at the grassroots level, not allowing the formation of "hot spots" on security and order.
