Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has just signed Decision No. 986/QD-TTg on appointing and concurrently holding the position of Member of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.
The Prime Minister appoints concurrently to hold the position of Member of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies for the following gentlemen:
1. Ms. Le Thi Thuy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union, replaced Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, former Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union who has taken on other tasks.
2. Mr. Be Xuan Truong - Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, replaces Mr. Pham Hong Huong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, who no longer participates in the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.
3. Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, replaced Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, who resigned from the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.
According to Decree No. 06/2026/ND-CP of the Government stipulating the organization and operation of the Social Policy Bank, the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank has 12 concurrent and full-time members including:
The Governor of the State Bank is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the remaining concurrent members are leaders of ministries and sectors: State Bank of Vietnam, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Government Office, Chairman of the Vietnam Women's Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and 1 full-time member holding the position of General Director.
The specific number and members of the Board of Directors are considered and decided by the Prime Minister in each period based on the proposal of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies and the opinions of relevant agencies.
The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors have a term of 5 years and may be reappointed.
