Salary regime for coaches and athletes from February 15th
Decree 349/2025/ND-CP stipulates regimes and policies for members of sports teams participating in concentrated training and competition.
Accordingly, from February 15, coaches and athletes of national team and youth team; national team, youth team, industry and talent team, provinces and cities directly under the central government who are receiving salaries from the state budget are entitled to the full salary they are receiving (including salary level, salary allowances if any) paid by management agencies.
The average salary calculated according to the number of normal working days is determined by the salary of the immediately preceding month before the coach or athlete is summoned for training and competition, divided into 26 days.
Coaches of national teams, youth teams; national teams, youth propaganda teams, industry talent propaganda teams, provinces, and centrally-run cities who do not receive salaries from the State budget are entitled to salaries according to the actual days of training and competition as follows:

This list is issued according to the Circular of the Ministry of Health, which is the basis for resolving the occupational accident and disease insurance regime according to the 2024 Law on Social Insurance. Each disease corresponds to 1 Appendix regulating exposure conditions, diagnostic criteria and assessment of working capacity reduction.
Health check-up responsibility of employers
According to Circular 56/2025/TT-BYT, employers are responsible for organizing health checks for employees in the following cases:
Before being assigned to work; Before switching to a more heavy, hazardous, and dangerous job; Or when the employee has been treated and recovered from a work accident or occupational disease; Continue to return to work, unless the Medical Council has assessed the level of working capacity reduction.
In case the employee has undergone periodic health check-ups, has been issued a health certificate and this certificate is still valid, only specialist check-ups are performed upon request.
