According to VNA, on the evening of April 25, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Hanoi, successfully concluding their state visit to Laos at the invitation of General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith.
This is President Luong Cuong's first official visit to Laos. The visit took place in the context of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos continuing to develop well. The two sides affirmed their determination to strengthen and enhance the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in the new situation, in line with the actual situation of each country.
This is also a charity visit, an opportunity for the two Parties and two countries to review the tradition of solidarity and loyal relations "in a unique way", "the deeper love than Hong Ha - Cuu Long" of the brothers and comrades who have stood shoulder to shoulder, shared the sweetness in the resistance war and national construction.
During the visit, President Luong Cuong had important talks with General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith; met with National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
President Luong Cuong also had meetings with a number of former senior leaders of Laos; worked with the Vietnamese Embassy; met with representatives of associations, businessmen, intellectuals and the Vietnamese community in Laos and a number of other important activities.
In particular, President Luong Cuong and General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith attended the friendly exchange program "Vietnam - Laos between our two countries, love deeper than Hong Ha - Cuu Long" with the presence of many veterans and representatives of the Lao student generation who have studied in Vietnam, as well as Vietnamese international students in Laos.
The event is a prominent testament to the relationship, comrades attached to glue, durable between the Party and the people of the two countries, as well as the iron emotion that the two sides spend each other throughout the history of the two peoples.
