On January 31, Comrade Tran Thanh Man - Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Election Council - became Head of the Central Working Delegation to inspect and supervise election work in Vinh Long province.
Participating in the working delegation were leaders of the National Assembly Office, the National Election Council, committees of the National Assembly, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ministry of Public Security and representatives of relevant agencies.

At the working session, Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Vinh Long has more than 4.25 million people, 124 communes and wards; election preparation work was deployed synchronously and on schedule, establishing 37 members of the Provincial Election Committee, 2,908 election teams, ensuring organizational conditions.
Regarding the number of elected deputies, the whole province has 18 National Assembly deputies, including 10 local deputies and 8 central deputies introduced; elected 85 provincial People's Council deputies and 2,701 commune-level People's Council deputies, corresponding to 6 National Assembly constituencies, 23 provincial People's Council constituencies and 817 commune-level People's Council constituencies.
Besides the advantages, the Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee raised the difficulty that some commune officials are still new and lack experience; in the coming time, the province will continue to train and review voter lists, increase propaganda, maintain security, and ensure that the election on March 15, 2026 is safe and lawful.

Speaking at the working session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested to clearly assign people and work, especially in a large area with 124 communes and wards; arising problems must be immediately overcome. Voter lists need to be posted promptly, reviewed to each household and each person. The quality of consultation and personnel work is identified as a decisive condition for the success of elections.
Professional training work must be carried out in the spirit of "holding hands and guiding", thoroughly, many times; unclear content must be answered immediately, limiting technical errors. In 42 peak days, the province needs to focus on leading and directing closely to the constituency, completing all time milestones according to the Central Government's direction.
The National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized promoting propaganda before, during and after elections to all strata of people, focusing on Khmer ethnic people. At the same time, ensuring political security, social order and safety, health, fire prevention and fighting; arranging convenient polling stations in riverine areas, proactively responding to weather.

On this occasion, the National Assembly Chairwoman witnessed units sponsoring 3 billion VND for social security work in Binh Minh ward, Vinh Long province.
Previously, Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, and the working delegation visited and inquired about the family of Comrade Truong Vinh Trong and the family of General Le Van Dung. The delegation also offered incense at the Memorial Area of late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and the Memorial Area of Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung.
