At the conference, representatives of the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's Decision on the transfer, assignment, and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
On behalf of the Politburo, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee presented the decision to Mr. Nguyen Khac Than and gave a speech assigning tasks; Mr. Nguyen Khac Than gave a speech accepting tasks.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, was mobilized and appointed by the Politburo to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was born in 1974, hometown Phu Duc commune, Hung Yen province, professional qualification: Master of Economic Management, Senior political theory qualification
During his working career, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than has held the following positions: Deputy Director of the People's Procuracy; Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Vice Chairman, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Phu District; Secretary of the Quynh Phu District Party Committee (Thai Binh Province); Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Thai Binh Province; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh Province for the 2016 - 2021 term; Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh Province for the 2016 - 2021 term.
In October-November 2020, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was Deputy Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, term XX, 2020 - 2025 and was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee.
In December 2024, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was elected Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; on July 1, 2025, he was transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province for the 2021 - 2026 term.
