The Vietnam Fatherland Front is implementing a cadre policy, reviewing and restructuring the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the agency.

On February 24, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) announced that it had just issued report No. 54/BC-MTTW-BTT summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee.

Vice Chairwoman and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said that from November 2024 to present, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has implemented a project to streamline units and units under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the direction that one committee and one unit does many tasks, one task is only assigned to one committee and one unit is responsible for the main responsibility.

To implement the project, the agency has reduced from 16 departments and units (mission level) to 8 unit boards as follows:

- End the operation and transfer the tasks of the Southern Working Committee to the Agency Office, convert it into a department under the Agency Office, with functions and tasks of service and reception in the Southern region.

- Merge the Ethnic Committee and the Religious Committee and take over the task of overseas Vietnamese work into the Ethnic, Religious and overseas Vietnamese Committee.

- End the operation of the Department of External Affairs and overseas Vietnamese and transfer foreign affairs work to the Agency's Office, transfer overseas Vietnamese work to the Department of Ethnic Minorities, Religions and Overseas Vietnamese.

- End the operation and transfer the press work tasks of the Front Magazine and the Vietnam Catholic Newspaper to Dai Doan Ket Newspaper; transfer the theoretical work tasks to the Propaganda Department.

- Converting the model of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Museum into a department-level unit and transferring it to the agency office.

- End the operation of the Center for Cadre Training and Front Scientific Research, transfer the task of scientific research to the Propaganda Department, transfer the task of cadre training to the Organization - Personnel Department.

- Research on the establishment of a consulting department on digital transformation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Research on renaming the Movement Committee into the Social Exercise Committee.

On December 28, 2024, the Politburo issued Decision No. 217-QD/TW, regulating the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including 8 units and units (Organizing Committee - Personnel; Social Exercise Committee; Social Committee for Democracy, Supervision and Criticism; Ethnic Committee, Religions and overseas Vietnamese; Propaganda Department, Agency Office, Dai Doan Dai Newspaper, Office of the Vietnam Committee for Religious Solidarity).

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, after implementing the organizational arrangement, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is currently implementing the personnel policy, reviewing and restructuring the team of civil servants, public employees and workers in the agency.

Review, amend and supplement the operating regulations of agencies, departments and units in the agency, increase the application of information technology, digital transformation, ensure effective and efficient operations.

The implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW has created a high consensus with a cautious but determined spirit, clearly defining the implementation roadmap for each stage.

Timely grasp the thoughts and aspirations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers directly affected by the process of restructuring the apparatus to have the most appropriate policies to ensure their rights.
