According to Can Tho City Police, at the Ceremony, representatives of the leadership of the Organization and Personnel Department announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the City Police on promoting the ranks of Colonel and Senior Colonel for officers who are leaders and commanders in the force.
According to the announced decisions, this time 9 Heads of Departments were promoted from Senior Colonel to Colonel; 73 comrades who are Heads of Commune-level Police, Team Leaders and equivalents were promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Senior Colonel.
Authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Major General Huynh Viet Hoa - Director of Can Tho City Police awarded decisions to promote the rank of Colonel to leaders at the department level. Comrades in the City Police Board of Directors also awarded decisions to promote the rank of Senior Colonel to Heads of Commune Police, Team Leaders and equivalents.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Huynh Viet Hoa - Director of Can Tho City Police sent congratulations to the comrades who were promoted to ranks; and affirmed that being promoted to ranks is not only an honor and pride of each individual officer and soldier but also a recognition of the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security for the process of training, striving, and contributing to the cause of national security protection, maintaining social order and safety.
The Director of Can Tho City Police requested that the comrades who are promoted to ranks continue to maintain revolutionary moral qualities, political bravery, and sense of responsibility; constantly learn, train, and improve leadership and command capacity, professional qualifications; promote the pioneering and exemplary role, "The higher the rank, the stronger the will, the more exemplary", and with the unit collective, unite and excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to building the Can Tho City Police force to be increasingly regular, elite, and modern, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Colonel Vo Thi Hong Tien - Head of the Political Work Department, representing the comrades promoted to the rank of Colonel and Senior Colonel, spoke to receive the directions of the leaders of the City Police. At the same time, she expressed her honor and pride in being recognized by the Party, State and sector for their efforts, training, and work.
Colonel Vo Thi Hong Tien affirmed that she and the collective of officers and soldiers will continue to promote the tradition of the People's Police force, uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, and excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to ensuring political security and social order and safety in the city.
