On August 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province confirmed that from August 8, the 13th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Tri province will be held, term 2024-2029.
At the congress, there will be 279 official delegates and 120 invited delegates.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province sent invitations to delegates and guests.
In the invitation, the words "Please do not send flowers to congratulate the Congress" are printed in bold.
Mr. Le Hong Son, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, said that the unit has a policy of not accepting congratulatory flowers from delegates and guests at the congress, the purpose is to save money and avoid waste.
Saving and avoiding waste by not receiving congratulatory flowers in Quang Tri province has recently had many units respond.
Most recently, on August 2, Con Co island district (Quang Tri province) celebrated its 20th anniversary of establishment. And in the invitation sent to the guests, the delegates also emphasized that they would not accept congratulatory flowers.
