On May 30, Da Nang City Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security on promoting ranks and raising salary levels for officers and soldiers. In which, Mr. Nguyen Dai Dong, Deputy Director in charge of the City Police, was promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel 1 year ahead of schedule.
Colonel Nguyen Van Tang, Deputy Director of the City Police, was promoted to the rank of Colonel. Seven leaders at the Department level were promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Lieutenant Colonel. These decisions take effect from June 1.
In addition, the leaders of the City Police Department's Organization and Personnel Department announced the decision of the City Police Director on salary increase and promotion of ranks for 1,183 officers and soldiers to term.
Previously, Major General Vu Xuan Vien, former Director of Da Nang City Police, retired according to the decision of the Ministry of Public Security from May 1. Currently, Colonel Nguyen Dai Dong is in charge of Da Nang City Police.
