On the afternoon of September 17, at the conference on personnel work, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee announced the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on appointing Colonel Nguyen Huu Hop - Director of the Provincial Police Department to join the Party Executive Committee, the Party Committee Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Police Department Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
Speaking at the assignment of tasks to Colonel Nguyen Huu Hop, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province Nguyen Duc Dung hoped that in his new position, Colonel Nguyen Huu Hop would promote his exemplary role, together with the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Police Party Committee, promote intelligence, solidarity and unity.

Previously, on August 20, 2024, Colonel Nguyen Huu Hop - Director of Quang Binh Provincial Police was assigned by the Minister of Public Security to hold the position of Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police, replacing Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung who was elected as Standing Deputy Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.
