The Ministry of Home Affairs will complete the project of community self-management model, suitable for the residential group after arrangement, to submit to the Politburo and the Secretariat.

The above information was released by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang at a working session with Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra on the results of task implementation in the first 8 months of the year and orientations and key tasks for the last months of 2026 of the Ministry of Home Affairs held on September 9.

Regarding key tasks for the last months of 2026, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang said that the Ministry of Home Affairs focuses on 10 tasks.

In which, the Ministry of Home Affairs will urgently advise the Government to submit to the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly a number of draft laws including: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Labor Law, Law on Archives, Law on Gender Equality, Law on Red Cross Activities and Law on Employment; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Social Insurance; Law amending and supplementing the Law on Implementing Grassroots Democracy.

At the same time, the Ministry of Home Affairs also accelerates the drafting and promulgation according to its authority or submits to competent authorities for promulgation detailed regulations guiding the implementation of laws and resolutions that have taken effect, without leaving legal loopholes.

Next is the task of advising and implementing Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW and Conclusion No. 06-KL/TW of the Central Executive Committee, implementing Resolution No. 221/NQ-CP of the Government on perfecting and effectively operating the 2-level local government model; and at the same time completing and submitting to the Politburo and the Secretariat the project of community self-management model, suitable for residential groups after arrangement.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also deploys and develops a project to study the formation of core and typical commune-level administrative units; presides over and coordinates with ministries, branches, the Central Government, and People's Committees of provinces and cities to soon submit to the Government for promulgation 34 resolutions of the Government on announcing the area of 3,321 communes nationwide and the Government's resolution on demarcation of administrative boundaries at sea for provincial-level and commune-level administrative units in coastal localities.

Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang also outlined the task of urging and guiding the People's Committees of provinces and cities to soon complete dossiers and maps of administrative boundaries of localities, and at the same time, the Ministry also guided the People's Committees of provinces and cities to review and prepare dossiers and projects to establish urban areas, organize appraisal and submit them to competent authorities according to regulations.
