On September 12, according to PV's investigation, the Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just decided to assign Mr. Pham Thanh Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology (S&T), to be in charge of this Department from September 11, 2026 until completing the title of Director.
Mr. Pham Thanh Nam is entitled to other allowances, regimes, and policies (if any) according to current regulations.
Previously, in Decision No. 2060/QD-UBND, the Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee decided to dismiss Mr. Vu Anh Dung - Director of Dien Bien Department of Science and Technology, according to his personal wishes.
After Mr. Vu Anh Dung resigned, Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee assigned Mr. Pham Thanh Nam to be in charge of the Department of Science and Technology until the Director title is consolidated.
The decision assigning responsibility to the Department takes effect from the date of signing. The Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Directors of the Departments of Home Affairs, Finance, Science and Technology and relevant agencies and units and Mr. Pham Thanh Nam are responsible for implementation.
Thus, the Department of Science and Technology of Dien Bien province is currently managed by Mr. Pham Thanh Nam and 3 other Deputy Directors, including: Vu Xuan Linh, Pham Thanh Tung, Nguyen Ba Anh.
