During the day, the Engineering Corps mobilized 160 officers and soldiers and 84 vehicles of all kinds, maintaining the operation of the Lo River pontoon bridge, ensuring safe passage for 4,858 people and vehicles.
Regarding the natural disaster situation, at 3:30 pm on March 22, in Ba Hue hamlet, Dam Doi commune (Ca Mau), a thunderstorm also occurred, causing the roof of a house to be blown off. The locality mobilized 5 militiamen, coordinated with local forces to help people overcome the consequences.
At 4 pm on March 22, in the area of 3 communes Thuong Bang La, Nghia Tam, Cat Thinh (Lao Cai province), thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms occurred, with 2 people injured; roofs were blown off, 725 houses were damaged, 2 classrooms of Thuong Bang La Primary School, 2 office buildings of Nghia Tam and Thuong Bang La Commune People's Committee headquarters; more than 150 hectares of crops were damaged.

Regarding the fire and forest fire situation, the report of the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense said that at 10:20 am on March 22, in Hamlet 1, Tan Thanh ward (Ca Mau province), a fire broke out in a house, caused by an electrical short circuit. The locality mobilized 5 militiamen, coordinated with local forces to extinguish the fire.
In Dong Nai province at 3:30 PM on March 22, in group 12 (Tan Hoa hamlet, Xuan Thanh commune), a fire occurred in about 25 hectares of mixed grass forest, the cause is being verified. The locality mobilized 35 soldiers, police, 1 car and hand tools, coordinating with local forces to extinguish the fire.
Regarding search and rescue work, at about 3:58 pm on March 21, about 122 nautical miles northeast of Nha Trang, about 103 nautical miles east of Tuy Hoa (Dak Lak province), fishing vessel PY 96878 TS/05 LĐ had its propeller shaft broken and was drifting, the captain requested support.
The Office of the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense requested relevant agencies, units, and localities to issue maritime notices, and mobilize 4 fishing vessels operating from 03 - 10 nautical miles to approach and support the ship in trouble.
At about 9:48 PM on March 22, about 243 nautical miles south of Vung Tau Cape (Ho Chi Minh City), the Pacific World passenger ship, traveling from Singapore to Taiwan (China), had 2 passengers with respiratory failure, diagnosed with severe pneumonia, the captain requested emergency support for the patient.
Faced with this situation, the Office of the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense requested relevant agencies, units, and localities to be ready with forces and vehicles to rescue patients. By 3:00 PM on March 23, SAR vessel 272 had approached and supported bringing 2 patients to the emergency room at Vung Tau General Hospital.
