After the arrangement and consolidation, the City People's Committee Office still has 8 professional and technical departments and 2 affiliated public service units.
The conference also announced the decision to appoint Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Hien to the position of Head of the Administrative - Management Department; transfer and appoint Mr. Vu Tien Dung to the position of Director of the Conference Center and the City Guest House under the Office of the City People's Committee; receive and appoint Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Head of the Department of Budget Management - Information and Statistics, Department of Finance to the position of Head of the Department of Finance - Budget, Office of the City People's Committee.
Previously, on the afternoon of March 3, the City Party Committee Office held a conference to announce decisions on the arrangement, organization of the apparatus and personnel work. Accordingly, the Office of the City Party Committee merged the Department of Administration - Archives and the Department of Information Technology into the Department of Administration. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien holds the position of Head of the Department.
The Management Department changes its name to the Finance - Management Department. The Finance - Management Department inherits the functions and tasks of the Management Department, receives additional functions and tasks on finance, assets, and Party budget of the Party Finance Department and the functions and tasks of welcoming and receiving delegations to serve the Party Committee activities of the City Party Committee Guest House. Mr. Pham The Manh holds the position of Head of the Department.
The Party Finance Department changed its name to the Socio-Economic Department. The Department of Economics and Social Affairs inherits the functions and tasks of managing the Party's economic activities of the Department of Finance and receives the functions and tasks of advising and assisting on socio-economics and foreign affairs from the General Department. Mr. Dinh Thanh Dong holds the position of Head of the Department.
The Office of the City Party Committee also transferred the functions and tasks of advising and assisting in the fields of economy - society, foreign affairs of the General Department to the Department of Economics - Society. At the same time, some officers and civil servants of the General Department were transferred to the General Department's Economic - Social Department to advise and assist in the fields of socio-economics and foreign affairs. The functions and tasks of the General Department include the fields of Party building, political system, people's mobilization, national defense - security, internal affairs, and justice. Mr. Pham Tuan Anh assumes the position of Deputy Head of the Department in charge.
Up to now, the work of arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus at the City Party Committee Office has been completed on schedule set by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; from 6 units to 4 units, reducing 2 units to 33%.
