Reducing the time for issuing visa exemptions to 1 day

The Prime Minister approved a reduction of the time to process visa exemption procedures at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to 1 day.

On September 22, the Government Office announced that Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Decision No. 2109/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the plan to cut and simplify administrative procedures related to production and business activities under the management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2025.

The Prime Minister approved the reduction and simplification of administrative procedures related to production and business activities in 7 areas: Journalism; incentives, exemptions; international conferences and seminars; activities of research and bilateral cooperation organizations; visa exemption; entry and exit; notarization.

In particular, the Prime Minister approved the addition of online implementation methods at the National Public Service Portal and reduced the time to handle the following procedures: Procedures for establishing a permanent office for foreign press in Vietnam; Procedures for sending reporters to other localities of Vietnam; Procedures for granting a press operation license in Vietnam to foreign reporters not resident in Vietnam...

The Prime Minister approved a reduction in the time for handling visa exemption procedures at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad from 2 working days to 1 working day; and added the form of sending documents via postal service for visa issuance procedures for foreigners at Vietnam's competent visa issuing agency abroad.

At the same time, reduce the time to handle procedures for notarizing the authenticity and legality of contracts and transactions from no more than 2 working days to within 24 working hours; for contracts and transactions with complex content, the notarization time is reduced from no more than 10 working days to 6 working days.

The Prime Minister allows agencies to use digital signatures and digital seals when submitting applications for diplomatic passports and official passports to domestic agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
