On July 16, the Steering Committee for Waste Prevention and Control (6th meeting) and the Special Working Group of the City People's Committee (8th meeting) on removing difficulties and obstacles, effectively supporting businesses, investors, and investment projects in the city held a meeting to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, and speed up the progress of investment projects in the area.
The report at the meeting showed that since its establishment, the Steering Committee has held 5 meetings, reviewed and removed difficulties for 13 projects and assigned a total of 22 tasks to departments, branches and localities. To date, 11/22 tasks have been completed; 11/22 tasks have not been completed.
There are 11/22 tasks that have not been completed: Department of Finance 4 tasks; Department of Agriculture and Environment 3 tasks; Department of Planning and Architecture 1 task; City Inspectorate 1 task; Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee (old) 1 task; Thanh Xuan District People's Committee (old) 1 task.
Regarding the results of the implementation of tasks assigned by the Special Working Group, based on the conclusions of the Chairman of the City People's Committee at the meetings, the Working Group assigned 69 tasks. To date, 44/69 tasks have been completed; 25/69 tasks have not been completed.
Of which, there are 4 tasks left within the deadline; 21 tasks are behind schedule, specifically: Department of Finance 8 tasks; Department of Agriculture and Environment 4 tasks; City Inspectorate 3 tasks; Hanoi City Tax (old Hanoi City Tax Department) 2 tasks; Long Bien District People's Committee (old) 3 tasks; Thanh Tri District People's Committee (old) 1 task.
At the conference, representatives of investors and related units reported on the progress, implementation of the project as well as the current difficulties and obstacles that need to be resolved by the city.
These are: Investment project to build a Lake and Refinery Park in the Southwest Hanoi Urban Area; remove difficulties and obstacles, continue to implement the Sports Center project in Long Bien district (old); consider and resolve problems for the Van Phuc Fuel Supply Station project in Ha Dong ward (formerly Ha Dong district); Investment project to build a housing area for sale on plots of land marked C1B and C2A of Van Canh University Urban Area, Van Canh commune, An Khanh commune, Hoai Duc district (old).

At the conference, members of the Steering Committee and the City's Working Group directly answered and resolved current difficulties and problems for investors and related units.
In the spirit of reporting at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh suggested that members of the City Steering Committee and Working Group, including the Department of Finance as a unit, should quickly review each project to see where the difficulties and obstacles are to have timely solutions.
The Department of Finance must complete this review before July 31 to report to the city as well as the Steering Committee and the City's Working Group to have specific solutions for each project. The city's general guiding viewpoint is to always create the most favorable conditions for businesses, investors as well as related units to speed up the progress to complete the project according to the set schedule," Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized.
