At the groundbreaking ceremony of Tu Lien Bridge on May 19, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that the city is continuing to direct investors to complete documents and start a series of large bridges this year, including 2 bridges on Ring Road 4, Hong Ha and Me So.
Hong Ha bridge intersects with Hong Ha road, the section passing through Gia Le pagoda, located between Lien Hong Secondary School and Bong Lai village, in Lien Hong commune (Dan Phuong district) connecting with Van Khe commune (Me Linh district).
When completed, the project will help shorten connection time, enhance trade between the West of Hanoi and neighboring provinces.

According to Lao Dong, there are still many households in Khe Ngoai 2 village, Van Khe commune, Me Linh within the construction boundary of Hong Ha bridge that have not yet been cleared.
Similarly, on the Dan Phuong side, many households subject to site clearance for the construction of Hong Ha bridge have not been relocated.

Me So Bridge is about 600 m downstream from Hong Van pumping station, Thuong Tin district (Hanoi). In Van Giang district (Hung Yen), the approach road to the bridge runs through Me So and Thang Loi communes and next to the 500kV power line.
After being formed, Me So bridge will open a new direction for vehicles from the center of Hanoi to Van Giang district and vice versa instead of going towards Thanh Tri bridge as before.
Me So Bridge also creates a connection between Phap Van - Cau Gie and Hanoi - Hai Phong expressways, contributing to reducing the number of vehicles entering Hanoi's inner city.
According to records, Me So bridge on Thuong Tin side (Hanoi) has a clear site, while Van Giang side (Hung Yen) has not been cleared.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (56 years old, Van Tao commune, Thuong Tin, Hanoi) said that currently, people in this area have to travel through Xam Duong ferry terminal or Me So ferry terminal nearly 1 km from the Me So bridge construction site.
"I hope that Me So bridge will be started and completed soon to make travel more convenient, and the lives of local people will also have many changes" - Mr. Binh said.
Located on the Ring Road 4 axis of the Capital region, there is also a Hoai Thuong bridge across the Duong River, Bac Ninh province.
According to the pre-feasibility study project, the above works have a cross-section of 17.5m but are then closed at 24.5m, to ensure 4 lanes for motor vehicles and each side will have a lane for motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles.

The Ring Road 4 project in the Capital Region has a total length of nearly 113km, passing through 3 provinces and cities, including Hanoi (58km), Hung Yen (19.3km), Bac Ninh (36.2km), with a total investment of more than VND 85,000 billion.
The project started in June 2023, with the goal of being put into operation from 2027.
The project is implemented in 7 component projects, operating independently. Of which, Hanoi will implement three component projects: Compensation, support, resettlement; construction of parallel roads in Hanoi and investment in the construction of a expressway system under the PPP method.
Hung Yen and Bac Ninh each province are responsible for two component projects: Compensation, support, resettlement and construction of parallel roads (urban roads) in each province.
For the parallel road project (urban road, low-level road), representatives of the three provinces and cities all committed to the completion schedule by the end of 2025 at the latest. Hanoi strives to start component project 3 (building an elevated expressway under the PPP method) in 2025.
The completion of Ring Road 4 in the Capital Region will contribute to relieving traffic congestion, connecting provinces and creating new development space for the entire Capital Region, including Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh.
