Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has just signed Decision No. 939/QD-TTg dated September 8, 2024 of the Prime Minister providing emergency support to overcome the consequences of floods and landslides in the two provinces of Son La and Dien Bien.
Accordingly, 20 billion VND will be supported from the central budget reserve in 2024 for 2 localities to help people stabilize their lives immediately after the floods (Son La 10 billion VND, Dien Bien 10 billion VND) as proposed by the Ministry of Finance.
The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of Dien Bien and Son La provinces to be responsible for specifically allocating the above-mentioned additional funds, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the law on state budget and other relevant legal documents; ensuring the correct purpose of use, avoiding loss and negativity.
Use central budget support, local budget and other legal capital sources to promptly support people to stabilize their lives immediately after floods.
In recent days, in the northern mountainous provinces, especially in Son La and Dien Bien provinces, due to the influence of storm circulation No. 2 and 3, there has been heavy to very heavy rain, causing flash floods and landslides, causing serious damage to people and property.
Currently, the two localities are focusing on implementing response measures and supporting people to overcome the consequences.
