According to VNA, on July 28, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, after considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee on disciplinary action against violating party members, the Secretariat found:
Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Hoang Trung; former: Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee (now Ca Mau province) Duong Thanh Trung; former: Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Director of Lao Cai Provincial Department of Industry and Trade Do Truong Giang; former: Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of Binh Lieu Commune Party Committee, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union Nguyen The Minh; former: Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Phuong Thao, have declined in political ideology, morality, lifestyle; violated Party regulations, laws of the State; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, very badly affecting the prestige of Party organizations, localities, agencies, and working units.
Based on the content, nature, severity, consequences, and causes of violations; based on the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating party members, the Secretariat decided to impose the disciplinary action of Expulsion from the Party on the following individuals: Hoang Trung, Duong Thanh Trung, Do Truong Giang, Nguyen The Minh, Nguyen Phuong Thao.
The Secretariat requested functional agencies to promptly and synchronously implement administrative discipline with Party discipline.
