At this meeting, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity of Khanh Hoa province discussed and gave opinions on the draft report on the results of the activities of the Provincial Steering Committee in the first 9 months of 2024 and the directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024.
Listen to the Party Executive Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee report on the results of implementing the remaining contents according to Notice No. 256-TB/TU, dated December 31, 2021 and Notice No. 700-TB/TU, dated July 28, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; approve the report on the results of the inspection of the leadership, direction, and organization of the work of detecting, transferring, receiving, and handling denunciations and reports of crimes, recommending the prosecution of cases with signs of crimes related to corruption, economics, and negativity, and giving policies to resolve a number of cases and incidents.
In the first 9 months of 2024, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity achieved positive results. The Steering Committee for Prevention and Combating Corruption and Negativity of Khanh Hoa province promptly advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to disseminate, thoroughly grasp and concretize the policies, resolutions and regulations of the Party. Especially the regulations of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity and the concluding notices of the Central Steering Committee.
Continue to lead and direct the effective implementation of the conclusions, mechanisms and instructions of the Central Steering Committee, especially implementing the coordination mechanism to detect and handle corruption and negativity through inspection, audit, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of sentences.
Thereby, 85 party members who violated the law were detected and disciplined; 3 cases with signs of crime were transferred to the investigation agency for handling according to the law. Timely issued policies and directions for handling 4 cases and incidents. Directed the recovery of 7 billion VND of lost and misappropriated money in the cases, of which 2 cases under monitoring and direction have recovered all the damaged money...
Besides the achieved results, there are still some shortcomings and limitations such as: The correction of violations for projects according to Conclusion Notice No. 680-TB/UBKTTW and the conclusions of the Government Inspectorate is still slow due to waiting for the Central mechanism.
Some cadres and party members have lacked self-cultivation and training in virtue and ethics, and have violated Party regulations and legal regulations, including cadres and party members working in law enforcement agencies.
The Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity of Khanh Hoa province has agreed to end monitoring and directing 3 cases and incidents that have been concluded and have been resolved in accordance with legal regulations.
