On the morning of March 3, within the framework of the program of meeting with voters and campaigning for elections in Khanh Binh border commune (An Giang), Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union - directly surveyed the actual landslide hotspot according to people's reflections.
At the voter contact conference of constituency No. 2, An Giang province, candidates for National Assembly Deputies (NA Deputies) of the 16th term listened to 7 groups of heartfelt opinions from people in Khanh Binh border commune. The recommendations focused on key issues of people's livelihoods and border gate economy.
Regarding border infrastructure, voter Nguyen Van Ba proposed to soon upgrade Khanh Binh border gate to an international border gate (both road and river); accelerate the progress of opening a new Khanh An - Prek Chrey sub-border gate to facilitate trade and student travel.
Regarding social security, it is necessary to support naturalization procedures and citizen identification for Vietnamese people living along the Cambodian border so that they are eligible to work in industrial parks.

Regarding agricultural production, it is proposed to strengthen control of fake and poor quality fertilizers and pesticides; solve the problem of "bumper crop, price drop" and find stable outlets for agricultural products.
Regarding the safety of the border corridor, voters proposed urgently investing in embankments to protect landmark 246 (1) section of the Binh Di and Hau rivers, which are currently at serious risk of landslides.
On behalf of the candidates, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan directly answered the concerns of the people. Regarding the issue of counterfeit goods in agriculture, the Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union affirmed that functional agencies, especially the Police sector, are drastically handling it to protect producers.
Regarding the output bottleneck of agricultural products, Mr. Doan emphasized: "The core issue today is standards. Although Khanh Binh commune has a large mango output, it mainly still exports through small channels. We will propose mechanisms and policies to support people to produce according to market standards to improve profits.

At the same time, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan also said that he will focus on proposing 3 major contents to the National Assembly: Investing in synchronous infrastructure for An Giang and the Mekong Delta region, proposing policies to develop heavy industry in the locality; building a specific mechanism to support farmers in An Giang.
Immediately after the meeting, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan and the delegation of NA deputy candidates came to survey the field of the dyke line protecting border marker 246 (1).
The direct survey at the Binh Di and Hau river sections - which are under great landslide pressure - aims to help the delegation have a solid practical basis to propose to ministries, branches and the Government to soon have investment plans to protect the lives and property of border residents.
