On the morning of April 29, the Truong Sa Museum project was started right on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the Truong Sa archipelago (April 29, 1975 - April 29, 2026).
This is an important cultural institution of Khanh Hoa province and the whole country, serving research, collection, preservation, and display; and at the same time propagating and educating about Truong Sa sea and islands and the process of protecting the sovereignty of the Vietnamese people.

Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone - said that the commencement of construction of the Truong Sa Museum on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the Truong Sa archipelago has a sacred and touching meaning for officials, soldiers and people working and living on the islands.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Liem, the Truong Sa Museum is not only a place to store valuable documents and materials about the process of fighting and protecting sea and island sovereignty, but also a vivid proof of the feelings and hearts of people across the country towards Truong Sa.

The project is also expected to become a great source of encouragement, adding strength to officers and soldiers in remote islands to firmly protect the sacred sea and island sovereignty of the Fatherland.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - said that the Truong Sa Museum will be a place to connect the hearts of the people of Khanh Hoa and people across the country towards the homeland's sea and islands, especially Truong Sa; helping people and tourists feel closer to the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - assessed that the project will be a "red address" to preserve and display artifacts and documents about the Truong Sa archipelago, and at the same time express gratitude to generations who have protected Vietnam's territorial sovereignty.

With its location in Cam Lam new urban area, the Truong Sa Museum is expected to become a cultural and historical highlight, contributing to attracting tourists and promoting local socio-economic development.
The Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area was started construction phase 1 by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with a total area of more than 20,000m2, belonging to Cam Lam commune, Khanh Hoa province with 3 areas including: the area of the Monument to the Laid Behind the Horizon, the wind grave area, and the Gac Ma - Truong Sa artifact display area.
The project was completed and put into operation in July 2017.
This is a project contributed by the hearts of millions of people across the country and the Trade Union organization to express gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves to protect Vietnam's sea and island sovereignty.
Since its inauguration, the memorial has welcomed millions of people and tourists to offer incense and flowers to commemorate and visit.
